In Golden Chrysanthemums. Story behind.
The moment to hold in memory

There are moments when happiness feels so effortless.
Not something we search for, but something that simply appears - naturally, without asking anything from us, and the memory of such moment we keep then so gently .
This painting was born from such a moment.
Early September, the season when mums comes to celebrate their blooms, I was in my favourite garden- a place that has been always a source of inspiration for me . The day was slowly coming to an end, and the light had begun to soften into the warm, golden tone that only exists before sunset.
The air was changing. there was still warmth , but a gentle coolness had begun to arrive, carrying with it the subtle scent of evening and the humidity of the earth. it felt like the moment where one season gently touches another.
And then I noticed them- the chrysanthemums, rebels of the garden. They don't bloom when its easy, they wait until other flowers have surrendered to the autumn. When I saw this vibrant golden bush , it felt like celebration of life- absolutely beautiful.
A vibrant golden bush, glowing in the soft light. Their color was intense, almost luminous, and their presence immediately drew my attention. There was something about them - their warmth, their quiet strength, their slightly sweet fragrance - that made me stop.
In that moment, I felt something very simple.
Joy.
Not a dramatic emotion, but clear and complete. A kind of happiness that does not need explanation. Iy was enough just to be there, to see, to breathe, to feel.
And I realised that this moment was so unique. Foe that brief instant everything felt so complete.
When I later painted this work, I did not want to recreate the garden as it was. I wanted to preserve that feeling- quiet, effortless happiness of simple being present.
The figure in the painting is partly myself. But more of that she is the reflection of that moment when nothing is needed, nothing is missing , and everything is enough.
The Golden Chrysanthemums remains as a reminder, that sometimes the most beautiful moments in life are also the simplest. And perhaps, because they are so simple, they pass almost unnoticed .
Unless we choose to hold them...
