«Late summer in my garden, nature gently enveloped and fascinated with its warm and welcoming atmosphere of a fairy tale. Flowering is remembered very persistent aroma that filled the entire garden , walking trough I felt a sense of calm and nearly festive mood. I was wearing my new summer dress, its colours , a delicate blue and pink flowers on it , interweaved themselves without loosing their identity. I remember gentle blue forget-me-nots blooming next to me , they have been always associated with youth and purity to me . I remember every single detail of that magic summer day that is captured on this canvas .
The idea to name this artwork ,,Blue de Chine '' or Chinese blue, came to me almost instantly, sure first of all its all about that iconic Blue, shades of which are delicately present on this linen , but also its a unity of my impression , admirations of oriental gardens , traditions and motifs of ancient Chine and even chinoiserie as an interpretation of Asian decorative arts . »
